Since WW11, when the 'Americans" came to the strong defense of the Filipinos, a mutual admiration formed a bond between both cultures ever since. This everywhere mini-bus roams Metro Manila with all kinds of decorations and
statements. "American" remains a near genetic inclusion in the culture. For me, a somewhat alloyed American, Filipinos are a unique and favorite people.
